The Ministry of Religion Cooperated UIN Walisongo Holds to Assisting Information Disclosure for 32 PTKN ZONA 1

About Semarang – The Ministry of Religion of the Republic of Indonesia (Ministry of Religion of the Republic of Indonesia) through the Public Relations and Public Communication Bureau (HKP) in collaboration with the Walisongo Semarang State Islamic University (UIN) organizes the Self Assessment Questionnaire assistance activities for Information and Documentation Management Officials (PPID) from 32 State Religious Universities (PTKN) Zone 1.

This event lasted for two days, Thursday -Friday (24-25/7/2025), at the ICT UIN Walisongo building in Semarang.

This activity is part of the Ministry of Religion’s commitment to improve public information disclosure in the religious tertiary institution, in line with the mandate of Law No. 14 of 2008 concerning Public Information Openness.

The event was opened by the Head of the Indonesian Ministry of Religion Communication and Institutional Relations Strategy, Moh. Khoeron, S.Ag., MA, and attended by the Rector of UIN Walisongo Prof. Dr. Nizar, M.Ag. The main speakers in this activity were the Assistant Expert of the Indonesian Central Information Commission, Siti Ajijah, SH, MH

In his remarks, Moh. Khoeron said that of the 72 PTKN in Indonesia, only five had won the informative title, while the other nine were still in the non -informative category and the rest had not been monitored.

“To be informative, the minimum value that must be achieved is 90. It is not easy, but it is very possible to achieve with the seriousness and collective work,” he said.

Khoeron added, UIN Walisongo was chosen as the host because of his consistency maintaining informative status since 2021.

He hopes that other PTKN can learn from the good practices that have been carried out by the campus. The Assistant of the Central Information Commission, Siti Ajijah, also emphasized the importance of the role of PPID in ensuring the transparency and accountability of public institutions, without ignoring the limits of information protected by the law.

Meanwhile, Rector of UIN Walisongo, Prof. Nizar, emphasized that the campus was fully committed to information disclosure. One form is the launch of the Siparang application that allows the public to monitor the budget realization openly.

He also highlighted the institutional achievement of UIN Walisongo, including superior accreditation and opening of new study programs such as medicine and digital business.

This activity is expected to become a collaborative space between PTKN in improving the quality of public information services.

The Indonesian Ministry of Religion ensures that similar assistance will continue to be held to encourage strengthening information governance in tertiary institutions as a whole and sustainable. ***
